It's weird to know that the army can come up with bowling outings for us trainees. Well, I'm not complaining here, just hope that there'll be more of these next time. Won't want to be stuck in that dreaded workshop for the rest of my 2 years, would I?
We were made to fall in at some recreational centre at 0830, and thank god they didn't make us fall in in platoon level and report our strength, which would look VERY ridiculous. Just imagine 4 platoons in civilian clothes standing in sediah position. Ok, never mind bout that. So for the rest of the morning, we were made to compete against one another in a bowling competition. I've never touched a bowling ball since secondary school days? Oh wait.. I did play some bowling in Perth, but I'm sure one game won't matter much. Right, so we played the first round, where the top 5 players from each platoon would compete again in the next and final round. It was surprising that I got the highest in my platoon, but sure enough, the next round confirmed my poor consistency in bowling. But nevertheless, we came in 2nd, and were rewarded with a hamper of tidbits that the rest of the platoon devoured in seconds.
Well, at least we had a great time. Right guys?
ATW Platoon 2.
